Product #1:
St. Michael's Chicharon Fried Pork Ears 2.5 oz.
Personally for me, I have had pork rinds and chicharons before and I found "pork ears" to be pretty different and unique since I've never had them before.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Product #2:Elena's Fried Chicken Skin Chicharon 2.5 oz.
This product also was pretty new to me. Who knew they made chicken skin chicharon? It looks pretty good!
--------------------------------------------------------------
Product #3:ABC Jelly Straws Assorted Flavors 49.4 oz.
This is basically jelly in a "straw"/tube. There are 5 different flavors which aren't exactly labeled but I note them as "Strawberry, Green Apple, Mango/Pineapple, Grape and Lychee". I actually had these a lot when I was younger!

MY REVIEW
What do you guys think of it so far? Is there anything you would try? Personally for me, these were 3 different and fun items to try out and review for you all! Let's start with #1 and we'll go in chronological order!
The St. Michael's Chicharon Fried Pork Ears were pretty interesting when I first tried them. They pretty much look like pork chicharon strips that I've had before but when I tried them, they were so different than expected. They were pretty plain to me, a little salt and nothing else. They were also very crunchy which I found surprising. To me, they were just ok, not sure if I would re-purchase them just because they were more on the "hard" side.
Elena's Fried Chicken Skin Chicharon upon just looking at it, looked pretty good and seasoned. When I first tried them, they were fairly similar to regular pork rind texture but these were kind of "flaky" if you can imagine that. I really like the flavor of these, it's some mix of adobo ingredients, garlic, onion powder and possibly red pepper (though it is not spicy). You can see how large some of the pieces are, I advise that you break it in half for the best taste.
ABC Jelly Straws have definitely been a favorite in my childhood. I remember having one after school and even freezing them! They really are fun to eat and nostalgic for me. I like them either chilled in the fridge or frozen (great for Summer time!). For me, some of the flavors are more pronounced than others. I found the "Green Apple", "Mango/Pineapple" and "Grape" to be the most easily detected flavors. It's not that the others aren't but its that these stood out to me more. I really love these!
This is what it looks like when it is FROZEN.
Overall these snacks are awesome and definitely something to try out if you've never had anything like them before. Living in NYC (Queens to be precise), there is a lot of culture, diversity and ethnicity all around me so I love trying new foods!
For me, my favorite new item from the bunch has to be the Elena's Fried Chicken Skin Chicharon! They are just so good! The pork ears were a bit crunchy but for certain times, I love a good crunch! And you can't forget about the jelly straws! They are great and so fun to eat! Kids really love them, though as a parent I would say to cut the jelly a bit in the "straw" so your child doesn't choke. Overall I would definitely recommend these items, check them out! Links down below.
