Product Review: Zim's Advanced Vapor Rub-Tube

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! Good evening to all. You guys know that I am a very honest product reviewer. I don't bash companies and typically say it as it is. This product that I'm reviewing today is pretty much a bust. I just don't like it. It's the Zim's Advanced Vapor Rub in a Tube. Let's get to it, shall we?
About The Product
(From the product website and the product itself.)
-Product is available in the traditional jar form or in a 4 oz. tube with no-mess applicator.
-This product is 100% natural and is great for those seeking the natural alternative on vapor rubs for their children (great for any age).

My Review
You know what, I had pretty high expectations for this product but I was quite disappointed. A mess-free applicator, who could hate that? I think it's such a great idea...now if it only worked, I would of loved it. I do love that it is an all natural alternative to other traditional/well known vapor rubs but let me tell you about my experience with it.
The applicator is nice and all but I found a white piece inside of mine that I could just not get out. You can see from the image that there is this little "stick" or white piece just in the center. I even tried using a toothpick to see if I could nudge it out or see what the situation was. It is basically almost like a basket in there with a white pole in the center. Can you imagine that inside of the area where the product is supposed to squeeze out from? It was really difficult to squeeze the product out at all. When I first received the product it was pretty solid in the tube (and was kept at room temperature) but after a while of squeezing it around, it did soften up a bit.

Overall I wouldn't recommend this product to others. This product just doesn't work. For me, I am just going to cut the tube open and use it like that (or maybe even transfer it). I just wish that the applicator worked like it said. I did read the instructions on how to use it but it was no help at all. Hopefully my review gave you some insight on this product. Like mentioned earlier, it is a nice type of product and an natural alternative. I actually find that the scent is more mild than traditional vapor rub, whether you prefer that or not.

  1. It's great that you give honest reviews, it's so valuable to us as your blog readers. Is this like traditional vapour rub? I only know of the Vicks brand which doesn't come in a tub but in a little pot which is so easy to scoop out with my fingers. I love it.

    1. Yes it is very much like a traditional vapor rub. It also comes in a tub/pot version but I decided to try out the new "no mess applicator".

  3. How disappointing about the applicator... sometimes the original is best :-) I wouldn't mind a milder scent than Vick's, but is it as effective? I'm a longtime Vick's believer...and while I'll usually pick a natural product over a conventional one, Vick's never struck me harmfully unnatural. Off to compare ingredients... thanks for an honest review!

  6. It sounds like a nice product, I cannot use all the chemical stuff and this having the lighter scent, I could use that if they just fix the applicator. Thanks for sharing, I would have never known.
