It's a similar product but this one is a kitchen scale, it is such a sleek, pretty product. It's the Gurin Touch Professional Digital Kitchen Scale. I love the size of the product and I definitely had fun testing this one out! Let's get started!

My Review
Like mentioned in the introduction, testing this product out was so much fun! Upon first impression it didn't look like much but once opened, man this product is beautiful. In size it is comparable to almost a slim version of the regular sized iPad (not iPad mini) and similar to that in slimness. It felt like a nice, high quality product in my hands and is much lighter than the bathroom scale (reviewed in previous post).
I like the feel and physical qualities of the product but how does it work? It works amazingly as well! It is touch screen (hello iPad status haha), has great calibration and can measure in either grams or ounces/pounds. Like other kitchen scales, this one can only go up to 11lbs 10.8 oz so if you need more than that, I would check out other options but for me, it is a great size. I barely ever go near the 2 pound or so mark anyways when cooking/baking.
Overall this is a fantastic product and I have a lot of fun using it! It is such a pretty product and looks amazing on my kitchen counter. I would highly recommend this product, currently the product is only about $20 so that is an amazing buy!

I also think that it's a great size. This product can be carried to a different kitchen so we can have our aunts and uncles also use it whenever we plan to have a family dinner or lunch in their houses. This digital kitchen scale will wow them with a lot of features not found in the traditional manual one.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I rarely weigh my food but I do understand that this is a effective way of losing weight. I like the size of the unit. I was wondering does it have a carrying case for sizeable storage?
ReplyDeleteMaybe they should call it the iPad Kitchen Scale :) Just kidding, it looks like a really useful kitchen tool. My favorite chocolate cookie recipe is really particular about weighing the two different kinds of flour in the recipe, since one is denser than the other. I always just measure with measuring cups, but this would be a really useful gadget to have!
ReplyDeleteI never thought I would use a digital scale in the kitchen. Now that I have one I could not imagine would it would be like without it. It has really come in handy a lot and would buy it for gifts now for sure.
ReplyDeleteWhat a totally cute kitchen scale. It's such a departure from those old time scales from my mom's kitchen. But this fits right in with my modern kitchen. I'm going to buy this for my sister. She's starting a weightless program in the New Year and she's going to be weighing her food. I think she'll love it!

ReplyDeleteSince I found a place to rent and be able to cook freely i found that i need a lot more kitchen stuff than i bargained for. I was baking a cake the other day when i realised i did not have a measuring jar or even a scale, i guess i am so used to measuring with my eyes than i did not need it until then, now i am in search of a few things and a kitchen scale is one of them. I did like the previous one you reviewed with the bowl attached.

ReplyDeleteI received a scale a few years ago (not as fancy and sleek as the Gurin Touch Professional), but what shocked me is how useful it was! I use my scale to measure the preciseness required for macaroons (60g, 120 g etc). It has also been amazingly helpful in recognizing actual portions - I had no idea how much 4 oz of fish actually was!

I weigh just about every single thing I eat. It's the easiest way to maintain my weight. Accuracy is so important and this scale looks like a quality one. It's also super helpful for figuring out postage costs. I hate going to the post office and finding out something is much more than I expected to mail. A scale is so very handy for that.
