Doesn't the name already sound awesome? Starlight, star bright, I wish I may, I wish I might, have this first wish I wish tonight. Remember that song? Anyways, let's get started!

My Review
What do you guys think so far? I know that I have reviewed LED flashlights here on this blog before but never a LED lantern. I actually found this pretty handy, yes it may be a bit bulkier than a flashlight but the performance is great and you can have it stand or lay down, however you'd like! The little handle on the bottom allows it to be hung or whatever you'd like it to do. The LEDs are definitely pretty bright especially if it is on the "high" or the flashing strobe setting. There are 3 different "levels" so you can definitely decide which one best fits your current situation. Like always, a LED lantern or flashlight is also very handy and great for those "just in case" situations.
Overall I definitely do like this lantern though I do have some comments on it. Do you guys see the bottom where you insert the batteries, which are not included by the way. DO NOT RIP OFF THE ARROW STICKERS. You need them to figure out how to close the bottom part. That was the most difficult part for me as the bottom lid kept wanting to turn and not screw back onto the base. Besides that the LED lantern has been pretty great. I find the "low" setting nothing really special though the "high" (click 2) and the "strobe" (click 3) to be great! I would recommend this product to others.

Six full days of use is so impressive! I'd be sold on that alone. My current emergency lanterns only provide up to three days of continued use. I also like having a high and low settings. Sometimes you just don't need such a bright shinning light, and I'm sure turning it low will extend the battery life as well! I'll definitely check this one out, thanks. :)
ReplyDeleteWe have this EXACT lantern and my hubby LOVES it! He actually got it to review on his blog and it is SUPER bright! We used it when we had a storm and no lights (in Kansas we get tons of storms) and it was a life saver! We even played a game of scrabble using it!
ReplyDeleteThis is really neat. My husband is into "survival gear" and I think this would be a great addition to his bug out bag. Yes. He has a bug out bag. ;) I like that you can hang it like a traditional lantern. That is something you don't see often. I also think the three different settings would really come in handy. Great review. I am sending this to hubby.
ReplyDeleteThis would be amazing for camping! We have a smaller one now, but it doesn't seem to be anywhere near the quality of this one and it doesn't last that long.
