Product Review: Click A Brick Animal Kingdom Safari Block Set

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! Good morning friends! Welcome to the first day of DOUBLE POSTS! If you already saw the announcement on my facebook page then you already know :) Every Tuesday and Saturday there will be double posts (9AM and 9PM EST), just to keep everything a bit more consistent and organized! Anyways for today I have for you the Click A Brick Animal Kingdom Safari Block Set. It is a bit of a long name but its actually pretty cute. They are basically little building blocks that connect similar to Legos but are more geared toward the younger age range. Let's get started!
About The Product
(From the product website and the product itself.)
-Product contains 30 pieces and is the "animal kingdom safari" theme set.

-This set allows your child to be creative and build anything from a lion to a monkey or even a camel, giraffe or a wolf!
-By using this set your child will develop better motor skills with hand eye coordination while being engaged in active learning (and problem solving).
-The innovative and unique 3D design allows each brick to be connected from all sides while still being sturdy enough to play with.
-These bricks are non-toxic, are ABS plastic and larger than other blocks (1 sq in.) which reduce choking hazards.

My Review
What do you guys think about this block set? I think the idea behind it is pretty awesome. Let's face it, most kids love building blocks and LEGOs, this is definitely a unique alternative. The bricks as you can see have little pegs and holes in them which allow them to be connected. Personally I am not much of a Lego fan but my younger cousins and brother have been obsessed with them ever since they were little.
I gave this to my younger cousin just to see how he would play with it. He is aged 3 and definitely found them interesting. While he didn't really understand the concept of building the animal, he had tons of fun just connecting them! My younger brother (age 13) then stepped in and figured out how to make an animal, I thought that was pretty cool, he said it was the lion though he did change the tail and ears to make it look "cooler". I found that organizing the pieces by "instructions" or just going with your imagination is the best way to go. As someone who hasn't really ever played with Legos much, I found it kind of difficult but if your child has the understanding of it, they will love it.
Overall I would say that this toy is a winner. It is quite educational and stimulating since your child does have to think about which piece should go where and how to connect them. The "animal safari" theme is also cute, I like all of the different animals you can make and the kids love it! The pieces are also a nice size, definitely larger than the regular traditional Legos though your child should still be supervised while playing. I would recommend this product.

  2. I love the look of these Click Brick animals! While it's similair to Lego type toys, it seems a little bit easier for younger kids who have outgrown the blocky big Legos! I know my daughter would spend hours playing with this set!

  4. That is so cool! They are almost like Legos! I wonder if it would be too complicated for my three year old. I'd love to give him something different to play with.
