Hi everyone! Welcome to FOOD FRIDAY "Week 7"! So glad to have you all back here on this wonderful Friday morning! Do you guys love biscuits I sure do! My favorite ones hands down are the Red Lobster 'Cheddar Bay Biscuits', have you had them, oh my goodness, they are heavenly! Just so soft yet a bit crisp on the outside and so so good! I found this "pre-mixed" package of BISQUICK CHEESE-GARLIC BISCUITS and just had to try them out! They had a few other varieties as well but I was super stoked for these.Let's get started!
DEMO
Final Thoughts
At the supermarket they actually quite a few different varieties, they had "Buttermilk Biscuits", "Cheese-Garlic", "Honey-Butter" and "Three-Cheese". Basically the idea behind this product is that you can have quick and great tasting biscuits in just 15 minutes. Personally for me, I baked them for about 15 minutes alone (plus 5 min. prep) at 450 degrees Fahrenheit. I really wanted to find something comparable to my favorite biscuits from Red Lobster. (I do know they make a mix, stay tuned for that one soon too!) Regular price these are less than $2 or around that amount, I purchased them on sale for just $1 which I thought wasn't too bad at all. It's like the "pre-mixed" cake mix but for biscuits! Isn't that cool? With this flavor, you can actually see the "cheese" in the mix.

Overall my final verdict is that I'm pretty satisfied with these. I decided to add some extra butter spray (I used 'I can't believe it's not butter' and just sprayed it on) as well as a bit of garlic powder up on top. I also added thyme on three of them just to see what added flavor it would add. To me, these aren't exactly the same as Red Lobster but quite comparable. It just needs a bit more cheese in it and it'll be even better. A light dusting of garlic powder and butter really makes this biscuit even more delectable! The package also says that it makes 6 but I made them a bit smaller, maybe 2 1/2 inches or so in width (I tried) and turned out with 9 biscuits which was great for my family of 4. Overall I would say that these are a re-buy! You can't beat the price and when I'm having a craving for cheese biscuits, I can bake these up super quick! Love them!!
