My Review
Jeff Gold lives on! I can't believe that I get the opportunity to work with him again with this product! His music truly is a work of art and so beautiful at that! Once again, I have listed down below the links to his website as well as the direct link to "Simple Treasures" where you can listen along to the tracks. This CD is one of my favorites just because of the messages he conveys through his music. If you guys are new to Jeff Gold Music, its instrumental and beautiful at that! Now let's get to reviewing shall we? :)
The main focus of this CD is to highlight the "small things in life" that have so much meaning. They may not be large in size but the inspiration and thought is there. Anything from saying "I do" to the first snowball to even green fields/grass. They aren't any large per-say by themselves but when you think about it, there is a lot of inspiration in that. As mentioned earlier there are 12 tracks in this one, each one highlighting a different moment in life through time. Next we'll talk a little more about the songs then wrap it all up and get the giveaway details!
So now let's really get into details about the songs themselves and what I think about them. Some of my favorites are "Song for Sydney", "First Snowball", "I Do", "Skating", "Days End", "Sweet Dreams" and "Spring Green". There are definitely so many great ones in this bunch, I practically have them all as favorites! If you listen to them, you can truly imagine and suddenly feel rested, relaxed and in a calm state.
The song "Song for Sydney"  reminds me of a commercial with a young girl coming home from school and seeing their parent/caregiver at home and smiling. It really is beautiful to that. The song "First Snowball" reminds me a lot about Winter, traditional classical music with a twist and the Disney Frozen movie, it starts off slow but then transitions to a faster tempo. I really love the smoothness and higher notes with this one. Okay let's talk about one more! "Days End" is really uplifting, happy and reminds me of being proud after working a hard day of work. It is very positive with the instrumentals used in this one and reminds me of the positivity in life and why I'm doing this.
As you guys can see, this CD is definitely AMAZING! I mean come on, listen to a few songs and you are going to be blown away! Even without lyrics, they are truly beautiful. Some of them even reminded me of "shorts" before a movie and some of those "songs" really are my favorite. They are just so inspiration, beautiful works of art that everybody should listen to!
As a dancer, I definitely really connect to music and songs such as the ones found in the CD. I actually just got a job this Summer as a dance teacher and will definitely be using some of these songs in my lyrical/modern/contemporary/ballet dance class as well as with warm ups and cool downs. The kids will definitely be loving that! I would definitely, hands down recommend this CD to others! Stay tuned for the giveaway!

  4. I have never heard of Jeff Gold. He sounds like an interesting artist. I can't answer your question about what my favorite song is, but lately I have really been enjoying a lot of instrumental music while working. I find when I listen to singing it tends to be a distraction.

    Thanks--

  6. I haven't heard of Jeff Gold either but after listening to a few songs it would be a great addition for anyone having a child. This music is so soothing and relaxing especially after a long day of work. It is a refreshing CD compared to what is being listened to in the car everyday on my way to work.

  14. I used to love listening to CDs like this in a bubble bath. But alas, Denmark doesn't believe in bathtubs, so one of my favorite simple pleasures is gone :(

I'm always asking what CD is on when I go to the spa. I'd never heard of Jeff Gold until now, but this looks right up my alley!

  15. Hi Everyone, Great to meet all of you! I loved reading Michelle's Review, I'm so glad she enjoyed listening so much. She really nailed the part about "Song for Sydney" being about a child and a caregiver...I wrote the song for my Grandpa Syd, he cared for me as a child and I helped care for him as he got older...(he made it to 96!)

You can hear "Song for Sydney" at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zlt8HulEe2E

Thanks! Hope you enjoy it too!

  18. I am not familiar with Jeff's music, but I checked his YouTube video for 'Song for Sydney.' I've always liked tunes that are heavy on the instrumentals with a pretty hint of piano. I could listen to this music when I am in need of something calm to help me concentrate during a writing project.
