Product Review: Michael Todd Charcoal Detox Cleanser [Deep Pore Gel Cleansing Face Wash]

Good morning friends, happy Wednesday! Today I have for you a lovely beauty product to share! It's from the Michael Todd Brand, it's the Charcoal Detox Cleanser! I actually first heard of this brand from one of my favorite Youtubers, AprilAthena7, she has always raved about this skincare brand. I am so excited to try it out. My skin type is combination, semi-sensitive and acne-prone. It's a pretty cool product actually. Let's get started!
About The Product
(From the product website and the product itself.)
-Product contains 6.7 oz./200mL of product.
-Charcoal detox is the first step in your skin balancing routine.
-It is specifically designed to lift deep-set impurities without stripping the skin of it's natural hydration balance. It is cleansing but not over-bearing.
-This charcoal detox cleanser removes blocked pores and preps the skin for additional balancing treatments [usage of toner, serum and moisturizer].
-Product is ideal for oily and blemish-prone skin types mostly.
-Some beneficial key ingredients include activated charcoal, sugar cane, maple+bilberry extract, tea tree oil and organic aloe vera leaf juice.

       My Review
I am someone who has struggled with congested skin for so long. I long for the holy-grail cleanser that could clear my skin and I think this product is definitely a keeper. For me, my skin is combination which means some parts it is on the dry side while others more oily [T-zone] and it depends on the day and climate outside as well as some days are more on the extreme sides than others. It really is so much work to try and figure out what works.

For this product, I have tried using it with just my hands as well as with my Clarisonic Mia 2 brush, I find that I do get a deeper clean in using the brush but results are both great none the less. The product doesn't really bubble or sud up so much so it's not a big mess.
For me, I have been using this product probably about 3-4x a week. It truly gives me a nice clean and afterwards I can feel my skin detoxed and ready for the rest of my skincare routine products. With detox, you typically think about teas that may help you lose weight or get rid of unwanted toxins in the body. With this product, it is quite similar but instead the detox is getting all the gunk out of your skin and pores. I definitely need the help with that.
Overall I would definitely recommend this product. It does work quite well and you don't need too much each time you use it [2-3 pumps does it for me]. The product is in a pump bottle and with that it does keep it more sanitary since you don't have to actually be in contact with the cleanser. One aspect that could be better is the cap design, it's a bit hard to put back on but that just means it's so secure that if it fell over, it wouldn't pop off and create a huge mess. I have been using it for approx. 2 weeks now and have seen great results. Hope you found this review helpful.

  3. I also have combination skin and very sensitive skin. I am allergic to aloe and mint, which are found in many facial products. This looks like one I could actually use. I have heard to many great things about charcoal but have not used a charcoal soap/cleaner yet.

  5. Yes, this is true that activated charcoal does have excellent health benefits. If you are looking to detoxify your body, whiten your teeth, powdered carbon
