Let's Get Baking!

My Review

This product is pretty fantastic. For my demo I actually used to it bake Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls in the oven at 400 Degrees F. When I first put on these gloves they felt pretty "wiggle-y" and very flexible. There was also no plastic or rubber smell to them which I appreciate a lot. It was easy to place my pan into the oven with no spills, heat problems or anything of that matter. I also enjoy that there are little grooves, they look like little circles/ovals/hearts that allow you to grip your food easily and efficiently. It's almost like a pot holder (rubber ones) but in a glove form.

This product in my opinion worked as a 4/5 stars for me, my oven was set at 400 Degrees F but when I took it out I could feel a bit of the heat, not much but a little bit which makes me wary if it can really hold up to the 425 Degrees F. Nevertheless these gloves held up and I was able to take the pan out with ease. I just couldn't hold the pan in my hands for about 2 minutes or so, the heat would really seep through. Overall I think this is a pretty great product, I'm not quite sure of average grilling temperatures but I am sure this would work great as well. It would be fantastic for grilling shrimp, potatoes/sweet potatoes, corn etc. I would recommend this product.

  1. I grill all the time so finding the perfect pair of gloves for grilling over a hot BBQ is hard. Nice review. Love the red color, they would be hard to lose and the groves would definitely make moving things easier and give a better grip.

  2. They look like great gloves but very questionable on the protection for anything above 400. Thanks for the honest review and those cinnamon rolls look absolutely delicious.

  3. I've always wanted to know how those work. I never pick them up because I tend to gravitate towards pretty designs for my oven mitts. However, my mitts are a bit grungy now and I'm due for an upgrade. I bet these would last SO much longer.

  4. I haven't had a chance to try a set of these silicone gloves yet, but with all the baking I do... and all the little burns I get, maybe I should! These would be perfect to use in our smoker. Turning things gets tricky with regular mitts.

  5. I love baking with my daughter and she has always been nagging me to let her open the oven put things in or put the pan in or even put the oven thermometer in. Definitely getting this for her.

  7. Oh these gloves sound great!! I hate when my hot pads start to wear out and they get my skin through the material. These would be handy for the barbecue grill as well I bet.

  9. Silicone oven mitts are awesome! I got a pair of these, I think they're a different brand though, either way. I wish I got some sooner, they work better than the regular ones and stay on your hands. I also used mine for building a snowman cos I didn't have gloves, worked really well haha.

  10. I have always wondered wither or not silicone gloves work. I appreciate that they are flexible and I like the fact that it has grooves for better grip. I often have things at a higher temperature so I would be worried about that. Thanks for the review.

  11. I have silicone pot holders but haven't tried the full gloves. Sounds like a good idea! Truth is, I've only baked a few times. Last one was a carrot cake and I was alarmed when the kitchen started smelling more of carrot than cake, haha! But it did turn out to be a great cake. Your cinnamon buns look good!
