Good evening everyone! Happy Monday! I don't know where most of you guys are from but I'm from NYC and we sure are due to get a good deal of snow overnight. Just wishing all of my viewers to be safe and cautious if the weather conditions are great. Now onto product talk. I have been waiting to review this product for so long! If you are following me on my Instagram (LINK) then you already may have a hint to what it is! It's the Petunia Skincare Professional 12 Make Up Brush Set! I am quite the beauty and makeup lover! I have tried many different brands, everything from drug store to high end. I know great products when I see them! This product is definitely great for beginners, let's get started!
About The Product
(From the product website and from the product itself.)
-Product comes with 12 studio quality brushes, the brush pouch/holder and 6 brush guards. (Brush guards are used to preserve the shape of the brush after washing or storing.)
-Comes as a set with powder brush, blush brush, foundation brush, eye shadow brush, smudge brush, fan brush, concealer brush, eyebrow brush, eyeliner brush, lip brush, spoolie brush and a sponge applicator.
-Brushes are made from a combination of high quality pony hair, goat hair and synthetic hair.
-These brushes are super soft and silky on top. They are very durable and long lasting.
-They are also easy to clean and dry with a gentle shampoo then placed on a clean surface.
-Petunia Skincare is a proud member of PETA and does no animals were harmed to create these natural brushes.
Overall I think the set of the brushes is great. I like the feel of them, the color and the size are decent. I have a pretty decent sized make up brush collection so I do have a preference over some of these brushes. I like the eye brushes the most, the smudge, eye shadow brush and eyebrow brush are probably my favorite. The face brushes are also great, I enjoyed using the powder brush and the blush brush. I don't typically use this many brushes in my day to day look but for the look below, I tried to use as many as I could. I feel that this is a great set for a beginner. The quality is great but not the same as for example a MAC brush or maybe Urban Decay or IT Cosmetics.
(Used Bare Minerals Bare Skin Foundation in the Shade Bare Buff 10, Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette, BH Cosmetics Eye Brow Powder Palette, Sephora Collection Blush Trio and Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lip Stick in Berry Rose.)
The price of this set is also a bit up there but you are paying for a great quality set. This is really everything you need. I love that the set also comes with a little book to show what each brush is used for and more about it. I think that it is a great tool to have and to reference. The color and quality of the brush itself is also great, no shedding and the color is pretty (it's like a pink color type of color). The pouch is also decent, it has the plastic smell to it upon first impression but if you air it out, it does go away a bit. I tend to not travel and bring all my brushes with me and just keep them in a box standing up on my vanity so I don't really use the pouch. Overall I am very pleased with this set and would definitely recommend it! Check it out today! By the way, what did you guys think of my look?
Keep an eye out, I'll be reviewing the curling iron set from Xtava soon! I used it on my hair for the photo above!
