Product Review: Exfolimate

Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday! Today I have an interesting product for you all, I have a bit of a mixed review on it. It's the Exfolimate! It basically looks like a thin sheet of stainless steel edge type of product that is supposed to exfoliate and remove any dead skin. Sounds a bit strange doesn't it? It's supposed to reduce the visible signs of aging. Let's get started!

About The Product
(From the product website and from the product itself.)
-Product comes with two exfoliators, a larger one for body and a smaller one for face.
-It is a surgical grade of stainless steel.
-Reduces visible signs of aging.
-Creates silky smooth, clear skin naturally.
-Safe for all skin types.

My Review

I personally am not a huge fan of this product. Upon arrival, the product almost reminds me of hockey skates but shaped into the palm of your hand. Can you see it? I like that they chose to have two different sizes into this kit, one for body and one for face. I have tried them both but enjoyed the body one just a bit more. Although I'm not sure I would repurchase this even though they seem to last a while (durable problem).

I found the face size to be a great size for the face, not too large and not too small. My problem came when I tried using this product on my forehead, I have a few spots of acne right now and this product did not work at all, it was almsot bumpy and a bit painful. I don't get acne often but when I do there is pretty much no way for me to try it out. I do have sensitive skin so I found that I cannot use this more than once a week, it exfoliates a lot and almost strips the skin bare which isn't the most comfortable when it's cold outside.

The body size was also interesting to me. I wasn't exactly sure where to use it but I thought I would use it on my arms and legs. For the most part it worked out well, it was almost like a shaver without a blade, it scraped whatever was on my skin off. It wasn't painful on my arm or my legs but it was a bit hard to use. I found that using it with warm water worked best. Like I mentioned earlier, its almost like the same idea as a shaver without the hair removing part. Overall, I think it is a decent product. If you are curious to try new and interesting beauty products, you should definitely check it out. It will definitely last a while, I have had mine for about a month and it still looks relatively brand new.

  1. SO weird! It almost looks as if the lady on the box is in immense pain :P
I dunno...to me, it doesn't look nice, it appears dangerous and I would be nervous about using it on any part of my body. I'm with you on this one- I am not a fan.

  3. My mom would like this interesting product as she loves anything that is proven to reduce signs of aging. I'm not sure about the size though. Maybe it would fit other people's arms and legs. Thanks for being honest on this review.

  4. I have just recently heard about this product, and I think I so need one! Especially in the winter when my skin is so dry. I would of course have to test it out like you- I'm not sure if I would really enjoy it or not? But sometimes, other exfoliators just don't seem to do the job for me, especially on my cheeks from being exposed to the cold air.

  5. I had just seen this product reviewed on another site recently, and it was very positive and all, but from the start it just looked pretty questionable to me. Thank you so much for the honest review, I think this is definitely a beauty product I can live without for now ;) Happy Friday!

  8. Really great review! I'm always looking for new products to use on my face, but I think I'll skip anything that resembles sandpaper! Like you, I occasionally have acne, and I cannot imagine how much it would hurt to rub something like this on top of an uneven face. I guess I'll keep looking for that perfect face product!

  9. What an interesting looking product! I have never tried a body exfoliator before. Sounds like an interesting product, I can see the benefits of it in the winter time. I think it’s a good thing it would last a while.

  10. I don't think I would ever buy this product. I think it's great that you gave an honest review of it and pointed out the things that you didn't like about the product, I really appreciate that in a blogger. I'm so picky with things I use on my face so this isn't for me.

  11. This is very interesting. I am having a real problem with extra dry skin this winter for some reason. I wonder if the Exfolimate would help remove some of my dry skin. My feet have been particularly bad. I might check it out!
