My Review
This is quite a unique product. Typically when my mom made homemade soy milk she would use a cheese cloth which is much thinner than this product. To me, this almost reminds me of my curtains (not in a bad way) in terms of texture and the way that it feels. There is no doubt about it that it is definitely a great quality and very durable because it is double stitched and it does fasten with a drawstring. I love that there is a drawstring, it really helps prevent any liquids from going through the back.

Now onto my demo! Like mentioned in my introduction I actually used this for my soup, not so much as an extracting part of it but more of a bag to keep contents inside. My mom also would use this if she was making fish soup and wouldn't want the bones in the soup. We made Chinese Vegetable soup which consisted of Pork bones with meat, carrots, spinach, Chinese leafy greens and dried seafood. It worked out great! I really dislike it when there are crunchy parts or bones in my soup when it could be prevented. Overall it worked great and I am so excited for this bag! In terms of washing it afterwards, it was a bit messy but that was to be expected. I will definitely try this with almond milk next (the e-book is just so helpful and has so many great recipes!). I would recommend this product.

  1. I have never heard of a nut milk bag. However, we drink store bought almond now and it's the only kind of milk we drink. (except my son needs chocolate milk. lol) Anyway I would love to try and make my own almond mild. It would be perfectly fresh and I imagine it would taste really good. Your soup looks delish!

  9. I got a nut milk bag last fall for making my own almond milk. While I like the convenience of store bought, I prefer knowing there are no extra chemicals in my food. I had been thinking about using it for holding the 'bones' when making stock, but haven't tried it yet. Glad to know it works well.

  10. I have never tried a bag like this before! I would probably use it to make a soup or stew for the kids. Or even to use to make a homemade apple cider and put the cinnamon sticks and spices in the bag.
